Church Built by Minister Gen Katumba Wamala Opens in Gratitude for Surviving Assassination Attempt

In a significant ceremony, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, inaugurated a church constructed by Gen Katumba Wamala, the Minister of Works and Transport. The church, named St Mark's Church Kikandwa, is located in Kasawo Town Council, Mukono District.

The construction of the church holds special significance as it is an expression of gratitude towards God for protecting Gen Katumba Wamala during an assassination attempt on his life two years ago. The minister's commitment to honoring God's grace and protection is evident in the establishment of this place of worship in his home area.

Archbishop Kaziimba, in his address during the opening ceremony, emphasized the divine intervention that spared Gen Katumba Wamala's life and highlighted the importance of faith and gratitude in times of adversity.

The inauguration of St Mark's Church Kikandwa marks a milestone in the local community, providing a sacred space for worship and reflection. The congregation is expected to benefit from the minister's personal connection to the church, fostering a sense of unity and spiritual growth.

The event concluded with prayers for continued blessings and protection for Gen Katumba Wamala and the entire congregation.
