Yesterday, Ebenu Patrick and Achan Beatrice, two cops, purchased sim sim paste from the Kapelebyong Trading Center and afterwards consumed it with bean sauce.
They were both transported to the Kapelebyong health center after experiencing stomach problems several hours later.
The suspicious food samples have reportedly been recovered by the police for examination.
"In an effort to rule out the likelihood of food poisoning, we will subject the food that the two employees consumed to analysis. This will direct our course of action moving forward. Police spokesperson Mike Longole Karamoja told Kigezi Times.
Longole continued, "We have also cautioned our officers against purchasing food from unreliable sources.
According to the police, the sufferers are currently making a full recovery from the poisoning and are in good health.
