NEWS - A tragic accident occurred in Ntungamo District on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, claiming the lives of three individuals. The incident took place around 1:20 PM at Kahunga trading center along the Ntungamo-Mbarara road and involved two vehicles, a Subaru Forester with registration UBN 375Q and a white Toyota Hiace with registration UBP314A.
According to the spokesperson of the Rwizi Region Police, the victims have been identified as Manirakiza Moses, a 29-year-old engineer from Burungu village in Muramba sub-county, Kisoro district. He was driving the Subaru Forester at the time of the accident. The second victim is Twesigye Kenneth, a 31-year-old engineer employed by the National Water and Sewerage Corporation. He hailed from Rwikiniro village in Ruhaama.
The exact details of the accident and the cause are yet to be fully determined. Authorities are conducting an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
