Joshua Cheptegei, a long distance runner from Uganda, won gold in the men's 10000m finals at the 19th World Athletics Championships in Budapest, the Hungarian capital.
Cheptegei won three consecutive 25-lap world championships on Sunday night with a timing of 27.51.42 seconds, making him only the fourth person in history to accomplish this feat.
The Ugandan runner, who holds the 10,000-meter and 5000-meter records, won gold in the Oregon event in 2022 and in Doha in 2019.
