According to MIKEL ARTETA, Arsenal's misfiring strikers are now experiencing "psychological issues."
Liverpool eliminated the Gunners from the FA Cup after they failed to score once more despite having 48 shots in their previous two home games.
In the FA Cup, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard drew blanks against Liverpool, and Arteta is having his worst season since taking over in 2019, having just won once in seven games.
When asked if his toothless stars' missing opportunities are starting to affect them psychologically, the manager said, "Probably it has, especially after today."
We must thus reset. Although the outcomes are drastically different, there is no denying that we should have won the games on merit. I would be considerably more concerned if the team was losing badly.
"But what can I do but stand by and support my team when they play with that bravery and mentality against arguably the best team in Europe right now in terms of momentum?"
Arsenal's next Premier League game is against Crystal Palace at home, but first they get a 12-day break.
The Spaniard Arteta continued, "This break is good," after witnessing his team fall down due to an own goal by Jakub Kiwior before Luis Diaz sealed the victory. It appears just in time.
"Hopefully, other people will be able to see that as well."
Tomorrow, the Gunners depart for Dubai for a training camp in the warm weather, and supporters are urging Arteta to buy a striker.
Ivan Toney, assessed at £100 million by Brentford, is the player they most want. Though the manager is hoping Gabriel Jesus's ailment is "not something big," Arteta still does not anticipate adding a new striker this month.
After making a large purchase in the summer, Arsenal is concerned about Financial Fair Play. They also owe Brentford £27 million for loanee David Raya later this year.

According to Arteta, "It doesn't look realistic right now." There are two things we can do and what we need to do.
"Our task is to develop our players and work toward achieving better outcomes with the players we currently have."
"I ask the people who are supporting us to stand by the ones we have."
