When he returns from a betting ban next month, the £100 million-rated England striker is supposedly "very excited" about the Gunners' interest in him.
After serving a protracted suspension, Ivan Toney is reportedly thrilled that Arsenal may be interested in his return.
And in the January transfer window, Lee Dykes, the director of the Bees, anticipates "lots of interest" for the 27-year-old.
The one-cap hero is the kind of natural finisher that Chelsea and Arsenal want, scoring 20 goals in the previous campaign.
"There should be interest, and maybe the time comes very shortly that Ivan moves on to another club," Dykes said to the Brentford media team.
"I am very excited for Ivan to return because I see him out there in training and he is a really good player; it looks like he has never been away," Dykes continued.
He exudes genuine ambition, and it's evident from the look in his eyes that he plans to surpass his previous achievements. That will definitely be the case, in my opinion.
The Bees are expected to pursue a nine-figure deal for Toney, while £80 million may be a more reasonable goal.
In the end, Premier League competitors could be able to sign him for about £60 million.
The manager of Brentford, Thomas Frank, has acknowledged that the Bees "are a selling club if the right price is there".
Dykes is also optimistic about drawing in a sizable sum.
