Luwero Town Council Faces Disruption as Decomposing Bodies Left at Entrance
The operations of Luwero Town Council came to a standstill when unidentified mortuary workers placed two decomposing bodies at the entrance of the council offices. As a result, officials were unable to access their offices on the 6th of December, 2023 due to the blockade and the overwhelming stench.
Reports suggest that the incident is a protest by casual workers who are responsible for burying bodies in Luwero. They are allegedly expressing their frustration over delayed payment of wages and a lack of respect.
