Decline in Condom Usage Alarms Leaders in Lyantonde

Lyantonde District's Chairperson, Mr. Fred Muhangi, emphasized the importance of behavioral change among sexually active individuals, especially the youth, despite the numerous interventions provided by the government and other partners. 

Dr. Moses Nkanika, the District Health Officer, expressed concern over a significant decline in condom usage within the district since the outbreak of the coronavirus in 2020. Prior to the pandemic, approximately 65 percent of the condoms supplied were being utilized.

But that figure has alarmingly plummeted to just 35 percent.
