Two individuals have been arrested by the police in Mityana district in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old teenager in Kitavujja village, Ssekanyonyi Town Council. The decomposing body of the victim, identified as Jessica Nakamatte, was discovered in rental properties located in the same vicinity.
According to ASP Racheal Kawala, the Wamala region police spokesperson, the suspects were apprehended at a shrine following a tip-off provided by concerned residents. The two individuals in custody are the deceased's husband and a suspected witch doctor. They are presently being held at the Mityana Central Police Station.
Investigations have revealed that the murder occurred as a result of domestic violence stemming from conflicts between the deceased and her husband.
