Former Manchester City Benjamin Mendy (born 17 July 1994) a French professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Ligue 1 club Lorient has launched a multi million pound claim against English Champions Manchester City for unpaid wages of 2 years.
He dragged Man City for his unpaid wages to an employment tribunal. Man City didn't pay him from September 2021 to June 2023 after he was alleged arrested for sexual assault and locked up for two years while as a city's player, he earns £100,000 per week
In a statement to the PA news agency, Nick De Marco KC confirmed he is acting on behalf of Mendy, who now plays for French club Lorient.
Mendy is demanding to be paid his salaries as a city's player for the two years he was in prison but sources revel that City told him they wouldn’t be paying after trial was concluded.
We are not sure how it will end but Employment Law is pretty clear.
Whatever was in Benjamin Mendy’s contract of employment will define if he is due any more wages or not.
