President Museveni will attend the C-10 summit in Equatorial Guinea.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has officially announced his participation in this year's C-10 summit, scheduled to be held in Equatorial Guinea on November 23, 2023.

President Museveni's attendance was confirmed following the receipt of a formal invitation from Equatorial Guinea's President, H.E Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. The invitation was delivered to President Museveni by Mr. Simeón Oyono Esono Angue, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Diaspora of Equatorial Guinea, during a visit to State House Entebbe.

As a member of the African Union Committee of the Ten (10) on the reforms of the United Nations (UN) Security Council, President Museveni holds a significant position within the committee. Mr. Esono expressed his admiration for President Museveni's leadership and emphasized the honor of having him at the summit. He highlighted President Museveni's role as a prominent figure in Pan-Africanism and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from him.

The Committee of Ten is composed of ten African countries: Algeria, Libya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Namibia, and Zambia.
