As they get ready for a crucial match against Niger, Uganda Cranes rally the crowd.

Before their crucial match against Niger in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifications on September 7, 2023, veteran Uganda Cranes defender Joseph Ochaya is appealing to the crowd for support. After a training session on Monday evening at the Grande Stade de Marrakech Annex, where the forthcoming game would be played, Ochaya made this request.

He claimed that everyone on the team is motivated to win the upcoming game in order to advance to the continental final. Ochaya emphasized the role that fans play in helping athletes perform better and urged support from both in-person and online spectators.

Bavis Mugabi, a defender who last competed for the Cranes against Niger in August of the year prior, was aware of the difficult task that lay ahead. He underlined how crucial it was to battle for a crucial victory, no matter how challenging it would be.

Uganda Cranes will play Niger, a group that will not advance to the AFCON even with a victory. The Cranes are in charge of qualifying, which drives them to compete at their highest level and defeat Niger.

The Cranes, who had conducted some of their training in Uganda, travelled for Morocco on Saturday in order to acclimate themselves to the terrain for at least four days prior to the encounter against Niger. Uganda Cranes are currently in third place in the standings with four points.

Tanzania, who is now in second place with seven points, is a formidable opponent for them.

In order to boost their prospects of qualifying for the AFCON with just one game remaining, Uganda must overcome Niger with comfortably and hope that Algeria defeats Tanzania by a big margin.
