A 14 year old boy stabs his father with a knife to Death

 

Police in the Oyam District are looking for a 14-year-old girl who is suspected of fatally murdering her father.

 The deceased, Emmanuel Otim, who had arrived home drunk, is said to have been stabbed by the suspect in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to preliminary investigations, the deceased caught his wife in bed with his daughter, which led him to initiate a fight with her. When the argument evolved into a fight, the 14-year-old picked out a knife and stabbed the father.

The victim was fatally stabbed in the thigh and around his genital region, according to SP Patrick Jimmy Okema of the North Kyoga Regional Police.

The dead was bleeding heavily as he attempted to flee the premises but instead passed away within. The deceased body was removed from the location by our scene of crime officials and taken to Anyeke Health Centre IV for postmortem examination, according to Okema's statement on Wednesday.

The suspect is still at large, according to the police, and detectives are working to find her.

"The search is still on. However, given that this is a very regrettable situation, Okema, a spokesman for the North Kyoga Regional police, urges kids to refrain from interfering in disputes between their parents and instead call for assistance from the community by raising a noise alarm.

It is not the first time that young children have been killed in marital disputes.

In Otuke District in February 2018, a 22-year-old woman inadvertently killed her father by hitting him in the head with a piece of wood. He died instantaneously.

The suspect was trying to break up a disagreement between her parents when the incident happened.
