BOBI WINE, PRESIDENT OF THE NUP, SHAKES MAMARARA CITY ON MONDAY

Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, nicknamed Bobi Wine, the president of the National Unity Platform party, has denounced insinuations made by some state players. When he opened the party headquarters on Markhan Singh street in Mbarara City, where his statewide tour began, Kyagulanyi made the comments.

Speaking to party supporters at Global High School in Mbarara City, Kyagulanyi claimed that the law permits politicians like him to engage with Ugandans, unlike Muhoozi Keinerugaba, the president's son, who is prohibited from campaigning because he is still a serving military officer.

The previous time Kyagulanyi's party attempted to stage a nationwide mobilization drive, security prevented them from doing so, but this will not stop them from continuing, he said.

With little police interference, Kyagulanyi and his followers roamed through the main streets of the city.

Robert Kyagulanyi will travel to Fort Portal City tomorrow (Tuesday) to conduct a mobilization campaign, and he will conclude his Western visit with the Kasese District on Wednesday.

The tours are anticipated to last for three weeks and include stops in the Busoga, Bugisu, Acholi, and West Nile regions.
